Special Bonus Meeting of the HORSE Education Series – Tues 5/28/13

Horse eating hayHay horse owners! Want to learn more about your horse? Your Alabama Cooperative Extension System presents a special bonus meeting of the Horse Owner Resource, Science and Education (H.O.R.S.E) series of educational meetings for Spring 2013!

Tuesday May 28, 2013 – 6:00pm – Forage Production for Horse Owners

From Gerry Thompson’s meeting announcement:  “I am very pleased to announce a special “Bonus” installment of the H.O.R.S.E. program: “Forage Production for Horse Owners”. Our speaker for this program will be Dr Jennifer Johnson, our new forage specialist at Auburn University. This meeting will be held at the TN Valley Research and Extension Center in Belle Mina (our “regular” meeting location). We will begin the evening with a “Pasture Walk” at 6:00 pm and follow that with a traditional forage presentation at 7:00 pm (I realize 6:00 is a bit early for some of you, but the Pasture Walk will be very informal…please come when you can, we will likely be somewhere within easy sight of the auditorium).

Forages represent an integral part of every horse’s diet. I hope you will make every possible effort to attend this informative meeting and learn more about managing this truly important aspect of horse ownership…As always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to seeing each of you on May 28th!”

There is a $5/adult charge for each meeting, youth attend for free. Pre-registration by phone or email is requested.
